Work History

Tammy (I) began my career in 1977-1979 working for Parsons Photography in Wenatchee, Washington. My job was through a work experience program during my junior and senior year of high school. I began retouching small portraits and quickly advance to running the black and white darkroom, copying developing and printing portraits and old photographs for restoration.

After high school graduation, I attended the Art Institute of Ft. Lauderdale and did freelance photography. I also worked as a photo lab technician at the Ft. Lauderdale News-Sun Sentinel developing films and photographs for publication in the newspaper during 1981-1982.

In 1982 while still doing some freelance photography, I began learning the custom framing business working in both retail and wholesale. I loved the creativity involved. I started my first custom framing business in 1987 (1987-1990), Creative Frame Studio in Pompano Beach, Florida. My clients included artists, decorators, frame shops and upscale galleries in the greater Ft. Lauderdale area.

After moving to New Port Richey, FL in 1991 I acquired our first commercial client as an independent contractor, Riverside Hospital, now known as Morton Plant North Bay. They have continued as our client today. In 1994 we started Tammy White Galleries. We continue to serve Pasco County and the Tampa Bay area, both retail and commercial markets. With technology today, we are also a national and international organization with clients around the United States and the world.
